About Me

To the friends that I have not yet met: some random, unnecessary rambings about me that you could probably live without knowing. But hey, you’re on my blog, so I guess you’re wanting to know me a little better. ; )

My name is Bethany, but my friends call me Benny. I’m a creative, slightly sarcastic (ha), thinking, Christian young lady who is very inquisitive and likes to seek out answers. I’ve found the most important answers to the biggest questions of my life in the Letter that my Heavenly Father has written to us: the Bible. (If you haven’t read any in the Bible, you need to! It’s written for you! God wrote this Letter for everyone; He wants everyone to know how much He loves us and His perfect plan for us!)

I have many interests, but I guess most all of them fall under one broad category: inspiration. I find inspiration in almost everything. I love music, big novels, poetry, singing, art, nature, pretty much anything to do with creativity. You will probably see me doing at least one of these things at all times: singing, listening to my iPod, writing, walking in the woods, or reading. I’m a dork, I know.

I’m addicted to writing. One of my greatest joys is to write poetry and song lyrics. I’m not all that good at it, but I do enjoy it! It’s my catharsis. The purpose of this blog is actually just a place for me to get my sentiments out of my head and into a tangible form.

Well, that’s about it. Hope I didn’t bore you too much. Thanks for visiting my blog! If you want to read any of my writings or those of my muses just follow my blog!

Well, Bethany thanks for the follow! 🙂 It definitely sounds like you have a lot to look forward to, which is awesome. You’re right though, keeping God first will get you anywhere. I would definitely love to travel as well, thats one of my many things that I would love to do in life haha! But definitely, good luck on those endeavors to be in the dental profession. I know we definitely need some better dentists that don’t make my gums bleed as if I chewed on shards of glass every time I went for a cleaning 😛
As for Nightwish, they are amazing. Tarja’s voice is just unreal.

Yes, I have plenty to be thankful for and also to prepare for. I actually will be traveling soon! My family has been in the process of adopting two children for the past couple of years, and we finally got our approval to travel yesterday! Within the next month, we’ll be going to Ukraine with a stop-over in France! A double blessing: two new little siblings and I get to go to Europe!

Oh, and I have a fellow Nightwish fan here! 😀 Yes, Tarja’s vocal capacity is just unbelievable. She’s my angel of music. 🙂

Oh my gosh! That should be pretty sweet 😀 I’m really jealous haha! So why adopting children? Did your parents just have the urge to bring more people into your family? Oh well, either way, that’s all really neat stuff to look forward to 🙂

Hi Bethany…….thanks for the “like” on my post “It’s Not Okay” and for the follow. I’ve checked out some of your blog and like what I’ve seen so far…….I’ll be back to see some more. Blessings as you explore and use your gift of writing and share it with the world……KIm

  6. hello Bethany, very nice to meet you, and thank you for submitting me for the award. I have been to Jerusalem, even lived and worked there for several years. It is the most sacred and life altering experience. It depends what you “seek”. I send my love and blessings to you on your beautiful journey! Linda

    • Bethany says:

Oh, how wonderful! I can only imagine how sacred that experience must have been! To walk the way the Savior traversed on His way to the cross, to see that one wall of the holy temple… What an incredible pilgrimage! Thank you for sharing with me!
      Love to you, also!

@onwindydays, Yes it will be very exciting!! Actually, we got our approval to travel a couple days ago, so we’ll be flying out in two weeks! Crazy!

Well, we have a lot of reasons to adopt. lol My parents love kids (they have four of us already!) and they felt that God was tugging at their hearts to adopt two children. They were burdened by the number of orphans in the world, and though we’re not putting a huge dent in those numbers, we know that we are impacting two children in a hopefully significant way. We can’t give them much, but we can bring them into a family that will give them a lifetime of love. : )
